[ICOM] Radio Shack USB - CIV control adapter

Has anyone been able to get the 20-289 Serial cable to work?
I'm wondering with what rig, and what settings.
No Joy with an Omni VI+ (settings for IC735). but that was with a USB to
RS232 adapter.
If anyone has it working, I can try it with a Pro or 736.
