Subject: [ICOM] Icom 745 for sale

I'm liquidating a ham's estate and among his equipment is an Icom 745. This
unit has the two CW filters, the CW keyer board, and the FM board. It is
extremely clean, and includes the original box, the power cable, the
hand-held mic, the manual, a spare copy of the manual, and the service
manual. It has been owned by one person since new, and it was in a
non-smoking environment. It has (apparently) been shipped to the Icom repair

station once, but I do not know why. The lithium battery was replaced in
2001, according to notes.

Last night, I used it to check into the 75 meter statewide net here in New
Mexico; to talk to some friends here in the Rocky Mountains on 40 meters;
and locally on 29.6 FM. There were no problems, and it had full power
output.

That said, it does not seem to have full sensitivity compared with my
personal 745 that I own. Example: I show about S-7 noise on 75 meters, and
this unit shows about S-2. I personally feel it has a problem.

I am asking $350 plus shipping for this radio -- and it is clean -- very
clean. Questions are welcome. If asked, I can take some photos.

I have nothing to gain from this personally -- I am doing it for the family.

Thank you.

Richard
