[ICOM] INFORMATION needed - EX-766.

A question for the group.

Does anyone know, or can you easily find for me or direct me to - the BAUD
RATE used between the EX-766 A and B units in the fiber optic cable?

I am toying with an idea.  What if I removed the light component and put the
input/output data into a 900 MHz data radio like the Free-Wave?  Or some
other data-link system.

I think it would be something interesting to play with.  I could put my
IC-901a band stack in the top of the elevator shaft, and remote the control
down to my shop, there-by negating the loss of 400 feet of Belden 89880
plenum cable I am currently losing 16 dB into.  <grin>.

Any data you could provide would be MOST helpful.
