[ICOM] AT-500 "Wait" LED constantly On

Hi Everyone --

 

I'm trying to troubleshoot an issue with an AT-500 antenna tuner that I
acquired. Upon powering it up, the "Wait" LED lights up and remains lit
constantly from then on. Toggling the tuner's on/off switch, its power
switch and/or the band switch does not cause the "Wait" LED to go off. It
just remains on.

 

The manual says not to transmit using the tuner until the LED goes out.

 

Has anyone experienced this before, and perhaps have some corrective actions
or tips that they can recommend?
