[ICOM] programming issues

greetings, I have a pair of ic-221s units that are used in a repeater
combination,
Does anyone here know the proper sequence for the programming of the
radio's?
one radio is used for rx the other tx. I am sure someone here knows. I have
the interface and the program to set up. I had the finals go in one and had
to switch the radio's around. now I need to reprogram and want to do it
right and save many headaches. the radio's do use tone in/out.
