[ICOM] PS-125

Hi Jose,

I have the same problem with my PS-125. It is the HF transformer inside the
unit. Actually it's the ferrite core in the transformer making the noise.
The only way to cure this is by putting a new transformer in (let Icom
replace it if it's still under warranty) or carefully use fiberglass
insulation to sound proof the power supply. Of course make sure for adequate
ventilation. When you open the power supply you'll see a lot of gooey stuff
being used that is supposed to stop the high frequency vibrations, but it is
very ineffective in some units.

If you find a solution that works for you, please share it with us.
