[ICOM] Confused on Icom 7000

I am a little confused on the Icom 7000 receiver
performance. I keep seeing comments on how it is so
much better than the 706MKIIG, and equal to the
756PRO3, etc. One person even said it is better than
the PRO3. But then I go to the Sherwood Engineering
website and look under the receiver test data for
close in IMD testing, and find this:

The 706mKIIG has a IMD of 74db at 2khz spacing. I
think this is probably a little optimistic. I have
used a 706MKIIG and its receiver isn't that great.
This number puts it above the 781 and 756PRO. Then
you scroll down and find the Icom 7000 with an IMD of
63 at 2khz spacing. An 11 db difference is pretty
significant, and not in favor of the 7000.

So what is the receiver really like in the 7000? Is
it as bad as the Sherwood engineering numbers
indicate? Is if that far behind the 706mKIIG?
