[ICOM] 706MKIIG

I suspect you are right. It was a bit unusual when it came out and I saw 
all sorts of  phone calls coming from those inadvertently shutting off a 
wanted mode.
Those calls did not happen though during my time. Since I have a 706MKII 
I can't shut off unused modes.
So many little things in these transceivers like the MODE S button and 
751 memories will drive you up the wall until you figure out what 
happened..
I should have kept notes while at Icom.
