Hi blair...The only approved carry on is the 1510 in the pelican... and your PRO
will not fit it it. The others I shared would only need to satisfy your
protection factor... 3, 4 or more inches of surround padding... and of course
the weight requirement...
I figured my PROIII as 14" Wide, 5" High, and 14" deep... added my pad... Ended
up with the 1640... with radio and pwr cord I think it came to 60 lbs... Had a
bit of charge on the acft because of the 50 pound limit and the 62" Airlines are
beginning to see the profit in the weight they are carring... So beware...

The 1620 might keep you in the weight and Inches...and still have the wheels...
I'm to old to care...hihi
Good luck... but again ICOM only gives measurements without Projections. SO
measure and have a go at it... 73 Larry

Subject: [ICOM] Travel case for IC-756Pro?
(2d try. First try appeared to be blank page.)
I'm considering a bit of air travel with my IC-756PRO. Any
recommendations for a travel case, Pelican or other?
I'm looking for specific model recommendations, not just brand.
Will case hold anything other than radio?
Did it have to be checked or did it qualify for carry
on?
73, Blair k3yd
