Hi Jerry,
Actually I was thinking more of an integrated scope feature than an external
accessory. Outboard panadaptors in various forms have been around since WW2,
when they were used in conjunction with intercept receivers.

FYI, Heathkit sold a panadaptor as a kit for their SB series of radios in
the late '60's - early '70's. I built one from a kit back then and used it
with a SB-303, IIRC. I sold that one, but later bought one again to use with
different equipment. It is in a closet here now. I forget the nomenclature -
it may be SB-620.
