You know that is a good question. I also just read on the 7800 list that
a guy had to return his 7800 to Washington because they screwed up the
mod for the 3kc roofing filter and he had to pay for shipping in both
directions. That doesn't seem right either.

I guess I just got lucky.

If that is true, why did they not accept responsibility for the bad LCD

screens on the IC-756, with the " Blue line" disease ? They would not
even  answer 
e mail's sent to them reference the problem !! I still like Icom but not
on 
their accepting responsibility on defective equipment.  VW
