Any chance to find out which diodes were replaced and what they were  with

Frank and all: The Icom repair facility in Anderson SC is aware of the relay
work around, but when a neighbor ham had the same problem with his proII,
recommended the replacement of the damaged diodes that are apparently the
cause of the problem. These diodes have been replaced with better ones to
avoid a repeat of the problem. Larry K4LXV
