I have an Icom CIV ..it has an outlet for 13 volts, an RS232 port, and (4)
REMOTE control lines (plugin's).
1st per PW-1 setup instructions I have the PW-1 & Icom Pro-III talking to
each other ..This takes (2) control cables. One came with the PW1 and the
other came with the CIV.
One connects to the remote connection on the back of the PROIII with the
other end plugged into the CIV. The other remote cable plugs into the back
of the PW1 with the other end plugged into the CIV.
In addition I use a steppir antenna. I have the optional Icom control cable
from steppir. It plugs into the back of the steppir control box and the
other end plugs into the CIV.
That means I use (3) of the (4) remote connections of the CIV.
Now Ham Radio deluxe is a software program. When I have it open and use the
controls for functions on the Icom PROIII they work properly. When I band
switch using the program both the radio & PW1 band switch together.
REMEMBER the RS232 connection on the CIV is connected to a serial port of my
computer.
(((All my devices, the PW1, PROIII & STEPPIR are set to the same BAUD rate.
I use 9600.
ALL TALK.
