[ICOM] Info wanted

A long time ago, a fairly recently-licensed ham
here in the Oklahoma City area said he wasn't
interested in Icom gear.  I asked him why.  He
replied that he hardly ever heard them listed
on the local swapnet list.

I suggested to him that maybe, just maybe,
the reason was that Icom owners/users were
so satisfied with the gear that they had little
or no interest in getting something else.

You could almost literally see the lights coming
on in his head!!

I still feel the same way, if for no other reason
than the after-the-sale assistance in parts or
repair that Icom offers.

Somebody knows because in ebay.com is few
re-sale rigs Icom (old line).  There is not  736-
746-751-756-765-775... At least, they are few.

Do they take another advisable place/site?
