Hi Guys,
(begging Dick's indulgence)
It seems I started something. By "decent" I meant North American or Western
European NOS.
Thanks for all the offers, but the only vacuum tubes in my household are a
set of spares for my Measurements Corp. Model 59 GDO (955, 6J4, 0D3). I
replaced the 5Y3GT with a Si diode stack.
(CRT's in the oscilloscope, spectrum analyser and 2 TV's don't count.)
When I left ZS in 1967, I sold a 1 m3 carton of new, boxed tubes (receiving
& transmitting) for about $100. Imagine what they would be worth nowadays...
Back on topic: The only tube product Icom ever sold, to my knowledge, was
the ARD 230 autotune HF amplifier re-badged as the IC-1500. That ended when
Icom launched the IC-4KL in 1990.
Cheers for now, 73,
Adam VA7OJ/AB4OJ
