[ICOM] Fw: ... IC 2KL/AT-500

Hi Dick,
Oh no, I mean "modded", buggered and/or bent by retromingent troglodytes.
There have been cases of serious damage due to misuse (for example,
ill-advised attempts to increase the output.) Operating the IC-2KL without
proper ALC setup can also cause severe damage.
One of the worst cases I saw was an AT-500 which had been subjected to
approx. 2kW RF input.
Cheers for now, 73,
Adam VA7OJ/AB4OJ

Adam,
By "brutalized", do you mean by wear and tear or something other?
Regards,

Hi Dick,
I would say around USD 1300 - 1400. Add $100 for the standard IC-2KL with
factory 10/12m.
It may be difficult to find units which have not been "brutalised".
Cheers for now, 73,
