[ICOM] Quiet wireless routers?

I had the same problem with my Linksys G speed on nearly every band, but 
especially 20m. The beam picked it up (nearer the shack) but the 
vertical didn't (other side of the house). I tried different wall warts, 
ran it on 12V DC, put ferrites on the cat5 cables. All to no avail so I 
down graded to a Netgear B speed and solved the problem.
I don't see how some of these units pass FCC certification (yes I do, 
they're done on the honor sysytem by the vendor)
