Hmmmm - - normally I jump right I and recommend MTS - I know on NO ONE who
has EVER been disappointed with him.

BUT - I think I read somewhere on his site that he was not doing the 781.
WAIT - - - from his web page....

"I have decided to no longer service the ICOM 781 & R9000, Also Kenwood Tube
Rigs, 830, 930, 940, most Yaesu HF's, and older Yaesu VHF/UHF's. There are
several reasons for this, most revolve around shipping and parts
availability."

There you go. Contact him and ask for his recommendation - and let us know
what he says.
