Hi Bill,

Turn the tables on 'em --- go buy one of those new SM20's, keep the receipt,
then return YOUR old one, with the complaint that the switch failed while
using it (i.e. the "new" one)...

Let THEM have the paperweight (no automaker is allowed to discontinue the
availability of parts for cars until said cars are 10 years old --- how do
radio manufacturers manage to pull off that kind of a stunt...?!).

I know it's dishonest, but hey, are THEY being staright with Hams...? Maybe
two wrongs CAN make one right, if you play their game...
