Dick, I had a problem like you have described.
It was not a problem with IC-151. Not knowing the
vintage of your rig it's hard to say but, I sent my
radio to a fellow up in Maine- Mike Nadeau. He did a
fine job and his rate we very resonable. Turned out to
be a grounding problem with some of the boards. It's
been fine ever since (this was about a year ago).
