You have probably welded the contacts on the reed relay in the PRO.  New 
relays are available from Icom parts.

You will need a buffer device (solid state or relay with heavy duty 
contacts) between the PRO and the 230.

I hooked up a SB-230 amp to my 756pro using the alc and send jacks. I keyed 
the mic twice to test to see if was working. It worked both times but now 
the send jack on the 756pro is dead shorted???? The amp says keyed?  Does 
anybody know what happened?
