[ICOM] Water damage to PW-1, now inop

Homeowner insurance USUALLY covers water
damage created inside the house, such as
burst pipes, overflowing washing machines,
water heaters, etc.  Floods are water from
outside the house and need specific flood
insurance.

Been there, done that (washer overflow).

again, insurance companies are fickie, they may reimburse you for a 
depreciated value plus a percentage to further decrease their payment to 
you.

I do not mean to rain but just be prepared for the shock as they did to me.

If you got ARRL ham insurance or insurance like it, this subject is moot 
(smile).

Hope your PW-1 woes are resolved ...
