Cool, I figured others here may know.
Anyway some noise blankers due cause distortion from nearby signals
too. I hope the cap fixes the issue for you.
I finally got my 706MKII installed into my RAV4. I still need to
permanently mount the face but the HS1800/PRO works and tunes well.
Been operating on the noontime net when I can on 7268.50 kHz
