You sure do have a lot more patience than I have.  I would have provided him 
with the information on where he could find the service manual.

FWIW, I did a high resolution scan on my 775DSP service manual schematics 
and printed circuit boards.  The PDF of the whole manual is 500 MB and if 
you want I can send you a CD of it.  Or maybe you know of a place I could 
FTP it to?
