A second vote for the Belkin (model F5U103). They are big and clumsy
compared to the serial adapter "cables" but they work flawlessly and will
even do 5 bit baudot RTTY! Unfortunately, I don't see them for sale on the
belkin WEB site any longer.

Hi,
I have a Belkin USB/232 adapter cable, bought at Staples for about 39.99
that works well with my Icom R-75. Not cheap but never given a lick of
trouble. I understand that many of the 'really' cheap ones ordered directly
from Asia can be troublesome as they're not fully "compliant".
