[ICOM] USB > serial HELP NEEDED for 2720 T81 others

Hello all,
   I'm in the process of upgrading to a new laptop, my old one is dying. 
 My new one has no RS232 DB9 port, but all my Icom programming cables are
DB9.  I've seen discussion previously on USB > RS232 converters.   Some
are major problems, may work with one radio, not another, some work
almost flawlessly.   Currently, what is a good one or ones to look for?
