I think you can just use an Icom (or replacement)
mobile power cable without modification. Kenwood
also used the same connections at one time.

Subject: [ICOM] IC-765 Power Supply

Hi everybody. I have been having problems with the
internal power supply in my 765. Sometimes it
momentarily shuts down and then comes right back. I
took it apart and re-soldered the little copper strip.
That seems to have had no impact on the problem. I
have decided to power the rig from an external Astron
linear supply, if possible. I notice that all 6 pins
coming from the internal supply are used. 4 seem to
carry the high current, and two appear to do something
else. I assume some kind of switching. I could dig
into the schematic and find out, but I thought one of
you might have already powered your 765 with an
external supply and you could clue me in as to what
those extra 2 wires coming out of the internal supply
do, and whether or not I need to worry about them.
Thanks very much for your help.

Mike, WC0L
