Tom: Please bear in mind if you are using an SM-6 microphone, that for some voices the SM-6 gain setting can be very critical, and should be set very low, like 9:O' clock. I used an SM-6 and it sounded OK on my voice when I had a 745, but the very same SM-6 sounded horrible on my 756-PRO which has the same mic circuit..With the the hand mike all  was OK and other Heil mikes sound great. You may just be over driving the rig to begin with with the SM-6, which when the processor is turned on becomes even worse. Larry K4LXV.
