Hi, Dave.

I was not aware that there were overseas
and US/Canada versions.  Do you have  ANY
US frequency crystal pairs to attemp to use?

I could  LOAN  you a pair on 145.550 simplex
for you to test out.

I'm not currently using my 215 as its power
output is down for some reason and I have
both W-32A and an Alinco HT that I can use
if I need to.

I would be greatly surprised if the coils for the
RX local oscillator would cover both high  AND
low side injection.

Mac....the xtals in there are for british repeater freqs in the 145 Mhz 
range. Would your first reaction be that should be close enough for the 146 
range to work fine?  One strange thing I found between the export and US 
IC215...the mixing scheme is different...you have to add the local osc freq 
to desired sig to get 10.7 IF...instead of subtracting in US model......or 
vice versa...one is added, the other is subtracted.

Can't think why that would be...unless some mixing product falls on a 'bad' 
frequency??
