[ICOM] IC725 CW pitch adjustment

Hi Gary,

There is no CW pitch adjustment point as such. It would not be advisable to
offset the BFO (carrier-insertion) trimmers to change the pitch, as this
could degrade opposite-sideband (audio-image) and carrier suppression.

You can alter the pitch via the RIT control, although this will move the
received signal down the filter skirt.

Cheers for now, 73,
Adam VA7OJ/AB4OJ

Subject: [ICOM] IC725 CW pitch adjustment

Being the new owner of an old IC725 I find nothing in the instruction manual
about adjusting the pitch of the received CW tone. It appears that maximum
response through the 500 hz filter is with about an 800hz tone. Is there
any adjustments on the radio inside or out that can lower this to 400-500hz
for a top band guy with failing ears.

Thanks, de gary, kd9sv
