Hi Ken:
Did you do the reset the CPU ?
There is a reset button inside.
It is still my favorite HT.
I have several.

Thanks for that info.
The manual that I have is one that I downloaded on line, so who knows
what serial numbers it applies to. This one is 17xxx; I don't know if
that is early or late.
Actually, when I listed it for sale, I was sort of hoping someone might
come up with an easy answer!
