Mike,
We always said 100 % duty cycle while I was at Icom, which meant to us full
output for 1 hour key down.
I believe most RTTY ops do not do that severe of duty cycle though. The main
thing is keeping the PA cool so even adding an extra fan blowing across the
heat sink is beneficial and will allow longer key down times. There are some
pretty quiet muffin type computer fans available that move a good CFM of air.
