[ICOM] IC-PW1 - Problem - any advice or ideas?

Jerry,

The same with me, box down under and remote head on top of the rig and next
to the computer. I know one time I made the shortest QSO ever. Turned on
the rig - moved up about 5khz found a rare DX station on frequency - flicked
the PW-1 on and in CW mode sent my call - worked him on the first call
(lucky) - turned off the rig and went to work.
That was fun. Now I do have another rig with antenna tuner and traditional
linear - so I still stay in practice.

OK... I do the same thing. Occasionally, the PW1 tuner seems to get "lost"
on a band change, so I push the tuner button until it blinks and then wait
to transmit until it stops blinking. It never seems to have any problem
within a band, just when changing bands, and then only rarely.
I really like the PW1. I have the "box" under the desk and the control head
topside between my keyboard and monitors so I can see what's going on all
the time.
