[ICOM] IC-706 MKIIG

I have a IC-706 that needs help. It has two problems.
1.Sometimes the transmit shuts down completely. If I power the radio off and
back on it will work okay but it may shut down again at a later. It does
this after being on for a while. It does this while mobile or fixed running
with an Astron power supply.
2. The other trouble is when I switch from one memory frequency to another
sometimes the receiver will go quiet. If I key the mike or hit the cw key
(if it is a cw frequency) it will wake up and work okay.
The radio was run mobile and just removed it due to upgrading to a 7000.
Wonder if anyone has had this problem before? Thought I would check here
before sending it to ICOM America......
