Because these amps don't sell very well. And products with a low sales volume 
usually have high production cost. I work in Germanys largest ham radio store 
and we sell only a few of these (Icom PW-1, Yaesu Quadra, Acom 2000A) each 
year. Our pricing is the same as other dealers, so that's no reason...
