Hi Warren,
Glad to have been of help. The contact cleaners I recommend most are Caig
Labs DeOxit and ProGold. They are available at most electronics supply
houses, or you can mail-order.

Cheers for now, 73,

Subject: [ICOM] PBT information- Thanks
Thanks for the great explanation on Icom PBT history, if anyone would know,
someone on this list would have the answer.
PBT and a good notch is what makes Icom receivers perform so well.
Gary, what kind of electrical switch contact cleaner should I buy to clean a
scratchy volume pot and on/off switch? Rat Shack?
Adam, you know Icom, thanks for adding information about the different
radios things I did not know.
Frank, I can get this mod done for $90 and am told it works just like the
original did. About $30 of the mod is for the ceramic filter, the rest
labor. The more I consider it, the more I am inclined to send the radio and
get it done. I am hesitant to try it myself and have no business inside my
275H, sure sounds simple though. Also need to install the CW filter in the
275H, sounds simple but I am hesitant to get in there.
