[ICOM] 765 output

My IC765 developed a problem. When put on TX SWR is high and output is very 
low.  The culprint seems to be D201 diod, type GM-3B. When output power is 
full 100W the diode gradually gets hot, SWR goes down and output power goes 
up. If output power is set to 50% or less the diode does not warm up and SWR 
remains high. Did anybody have this problem  before? Whould it be possible 
to substitute this diode with relay? I am prepared to live withot brake in .
