Hi Cam,
The "interface" is simply the TNC AFSK out and TNC PTT
connecting to the mic jack of the rig, and the audio
in to the TNC coming from either the ACC jack on the
rear of the radio (24-pin), or via the phone jack.
While I haven't used the 720, I have run PACTOR with
my 730, 740, 745, and 751A using both the KAMPlus and
PK-232MBX. The same cable for each type TNC works with
all the radios listed, and would be the same for the
720. There is a little difference in the AFSK level
needed from the TNC for the older radios (730-740) and
the newer ones (745-751A) but the AFSK level pot in
the PK-232 has plenty of range.
Not sure of your TNC type, but the hookup recommended
for a generic 8-pin ICOM should work OK as-is.
You can email me offlist, if you want to work out
details of the interface.
