[ICOM] IC-756 AM question

Hi Dan,

Switching to AM-N selects a 9 kHz-wide ceramic filter in the 455 kHz IF
instead of the 15 kHz-wide ceramic filter. The 9 MHz filter position is
bypassed. The optional 455 kHz filter slot cannot be selected for AM or
AM-N.

The filter selection does not affect transmit, as the DSP does all
modulation except FM.

Cheers for now, 73,
Adam VA7OJ/AB4OJ

Has anyone every tried a FL-257 wide SSB filter? I assume that when you
switch to AM-n that the 2.4 filter kicks in? This is not really very
pleasant to hear. If the FL-257 is installed can the 756 use the 3.3 for
AM-n?
