Yes, I've seen the 208 at different places for around $289. I've had my 208 in my Chevy Cobalt (not made for radios!) for about 6 months now, and it's performed great. I don't think you can beat it for the price.

I heard from my buddy that the -208 is on sale at a certain big ham store
