[ICOM] 761 S-Meter lamp?

Hi Al,

I believe it's the same lamp as in my 765 and I bought a replacement at
Radio Shack - The Source in Canada. It's a 12V lamp fed with 13.8V if I
remember correct. In order to give you the intensity you want put a resistor
in series with the lamp. You have to do a little trial and error to find the
right one. I think I used 150 ohms, but I'm not sure.
Good luck!

Al & Ray,

During my time at Icom I never saw a meter lamp specification listing
voltage and current for the lamp. Small lamps are generally specified that
way.

Someone at Icom, Inc in Japan had to know those specs but they were not
published so far as I can remember. Most of the meter lamps had an in house
part number assigned to them.
