Well, Mac, I have the pdf file on the 228 manual
but it's 18 Mb and I am limited by juno to 5 Mb.
I also have a genuine Icom Service Manual which
I used for my lamp replacement.\

I guess I could put it on a CD-ROM and mail it or
might be able to print a copy of the schematics
and mail that.  Large schematics would have to be
split into 8.5 x 11 inch segments.

Hi Mac, well I don't have a service manual and when I try
to down load it says it is corrupt and won't open it, I
think we discussed this awhile back.  So my buddy and I
disassembled the front panel and all the bulbs appear to
check ok but won't light up (panel back ground lights).

We're trying to find a schematic so we can check further.
