Bob,
Now you need to realize that 5 million dedicated Icom users like myself read
you message. I am having a good time getting things set up with not only
the field but my trusty 746 pro.
There are unique qualities of each that I like very much.

Hey, before you start bad mouthing Yaesu, get that Field fired up and then
make your evaluation. 160 meter contest this weekend and huge signals wall
to wall from 1.800 to 1,880 and not a bit of overload on the Field. Not the
case on either the 756 or the 746. The 8 pin dins aren't that hard to find
Tony, in fact, I'll check my yaesu arkives and send you info.

PS: found one of the capacitance hat wires out in the yard this afternoon
when I was changing out the switching box. I think my problem is the
vertical near the fence especially since it is missing a part of the
capacatance hat and the other spokes are all screwed up.
