Hi All:
I want to thank everyone who responded to my request
for info
re: the ICOM 7000, especially to Adam Farson, AB4OJ,
who gave
me the exact info I wanted. I only work mobile due to
living
where I can't put up antennas (Hopefully, that will be
corrected
soon), so cannot use a lot of the beautiful features
on the 7000.
It seems to be, in my analysis, a PRO III in a 706
Box. I am
going to keep my trusty old 706 for a while because I
only
work SSB and CW Mobile, mostly on six meters chasing
grid squares
and on 17 meters SSB and CW plus a bit of 30 meter CW.
Thanks again for the help. You are all a great,
friendly bunch
and kinda makes me feel like I am back in the "Good
Old Days"
of Ham radio when everyonme cared about each other.
73's de Stan W5ZF (EX: W6BCT 1947 to 1972)
