Hi Ed, and all...........

You mentioned the difference in the noise floor when listening to the sub
VFO.

I have noted the same quirk when working split, and pressing the XFC button
to listen to the other VFO.
Try that, and see if you hear the same thing as you describe.

For example, I am listening to DX on 14.021, and have the Pro in SPLIT mode,
with a Tx frequency of 14.024.
If I press the XFC button to listen to my Tx frequency (to see if I am
Tx'ing in the clear), then the audio appears harsher, and possibly noisier
than on my main VFO.

I would be interested to know if you had any direct replies to your email,
and also whether you have the same quirk as me.
