Guys:

Yes indeedeee' I concur that the ONLY way to program the IC-208 is via a 
computer.  After all, the 208' is NOT exactly user friendly when it comes to 
trying to program it whilst' going down a busy freeway. 

After several weeks of that insanity, I simply purchased the Icom CS-208 
software, built my own interface, and loaded  up the memories with the help of the 
Repeater Directory.

Else, you had better be stopped alongside the freeway..............
