Art, before you give up on the 745, give Scott Malcolm a e-mail. He is  
affordable, and an excellent technician. He also has 'parts radios'. You might  be 
able to get it back in good condition and sell t for a larger profit.
 
Just a thought.
 
Clif Holland at AVVID was also excellent, but I believe he retired.  BUMMER!
