Or you have a decoupling cap on the DC supply to the audio section, or
the PLL section.
I don't recall either of mine doing that. Try the easy stuff first as
Gary suggests.

Eddy,
I think thats the LPL Loop resetting. I don't remember if it is so
pronounced so you can hear it but I had that question a few times
while I worked at Icom.
Might be the loop is on the edge and resetting the loop voltage might
take care of the issue.
