Mike I have a 910h and I sold my 820. Big mistake!!!!
I use the 910 primarily on ssb . I am a 2M ssb net control . Stability
is ok without
high stability oscillator . Just about equal to the 820. The big draw
back is The 910h
on selectivity is poor . This is where I wish that I still had the 820.
I have a neighbor
5-6 miles 144.250 running around 500 watts while he is running his ssb
net. In the same time
period I like to check into the Los Angeles 144.240 ssb net, (450
Miles), it is very difficult
because of the lack of selectivity.
I do not have the 1.2 in my 810h. The ut 106 is some what usfull if
there is not a high power
station nearby. If you go the ut 106 one is all you need.
I guess . In my opnion from what you say your usage will be. You will
be wasting your money.
I f you do purchase a 910h and want to sell the 820 let me know.
