Everyone always wants to know WHY someone is selling an item. Although I
can't say enough good about the 756PROII and PW-1 amp, I have decided to
sell them for reasonable offers. I purchased this equipment during a
contesting season in my ham career, and that has essentailly ended at this
point with changes in employment, general use of my time etc. I will still
be able to get on the air with my IC-706MKIIG (brought in from the car)
and/or I might be interested in trying the new IC-7000 with its smaller
footprint on my desk, now littered with Linux computers.

I thought I'd float a balloon here on the ICOM list first. If there's not
much quick, serious interest, I intend to list on eBay, but would rather
sell it to one of you nice fellows who already know this equipment! Right
now, I see one other 756PROII on Ebay, and it is at about $1500. When I
list mine, I will probably put it in the neighborhood of a $1000 reserve.

I purchased the rig from R&L Electronics in HAMilton, OH - SN 01193. I have
the original receipt, and I picked it up myself there. It's always been in
a non-smoking environment, indoors, never mobile, never outside for Field
Day etc. It's never needed service or been serviced or shipped anywhere
else. It's never been dropped since I have had it. It has mostly been run
with about 30 watts out into the PW-1, so I wouldn't call it hard service.

I would call it "mint" condition. There are no burned out pixels or other
bad display karma that I am aware of. In the photos, the background is a
little pixelated due to the design of the background image, but there are no
missing pixels or lines of pixels. I'm not aware of any scratches or other
cosmetic problems.

If serious inquirers want a close up of some particular area or want to hear
it on the air, I will try to oblige. Buyer would pay shipping by UPS or
FEDEX, ground or air according to his/her preferences.

I have the original box (wimpy!). I would have the original box packed
inside another box by the shipper.

I have the original manual - I copied the original and put the original
away. I think I have the hand mic, but I will have to look for that.
(Voice - what's that??) ;-) I have used the rig in SSB, RTTY, CW, and PSK,
but mostly RTTY. The filtering, notch, and TPF are awesome, but you already
knew that!

Seems like we should discuss this OFF the reflector to spare those not
interested. Please email me directly at john at wa9als.com. (Unless Dick
jumps in and says differently, of course!)

Anyone interested? 73 - John, WA9ALS
